What can be preserved, where are changes necessary and how can these be integrated in the best way possible? These questions dominated the planning phase. During countless visits of the building, the laborious inventory of the original structure as well as numerous talks with specialists and the Denkmalpflege (cultural heritage preservation office), a concept gradually crystallised.
